Jordan Reynolds Cadet Class Champion and Mini Tempest Winnner

Proud sponsors Blue Networks are pleased to announce that British Rally Championship Cadet Class champion Jordan Reynolds will graduate into the Junior BRC next season, signing up with new team EDSL Sport.

Welshman Reynolds topped the Cadet class on the Pirelli International Rally to open the season and second place on Wales Rally GB was enough to secure the title which awards him free entries to the 2018 BRC rallies.

Reynolds drove an R2T with EDSL, setup by Junior BRC driver Alex Waterman and his dad, Pat, in the team’s open test session at Walters Arena last month.

“We’ve known about Alex and people who now work within the team in the last few years, the people are all very good and very passionate about rallying,” said Reynolds of the new squad.

“The competition is very close between the top boys in the JBRC and it would be great to be a part of that. But in my eyes it would be nice to get a few podiums throughout the year, we’ll review it mid-way through the season and see where we’re at.”

Reynolds has driven a Fiesta R2 in the Cadets this year, which is the same chassis but features a naturally-aspirated 1600cc engine, whereas the R2T uses a one-litre turbo. “It’s a step up in power and torque because it’s a turbo. It’s a different animal,” added Reynolds.

“The chassis is the same, but it is about adapting the driving style with the turbo.”

Reynolds drove the new car in competition for the first time on the Mini Tempest Deepcut Rally on December 29 and beat the rest of the field to win the event. What a great start in the new car, well done Jordan and here’s to more success in 2019…

Blue Networks have been selected to roll out Wi-Fi to approx. 1800 betting shops around the UK. This is a Cisco roll out with 1700-2700 series access points and an 887 router for the backhaul.

The system is broadcasting O2 Wifi service and is providing public access to William Hill’s customers. The sites are all across the UK and the programme is ongoing. At any time there are between 3-10 fully kitted Field Engineers on this project, supported by a dedicated Project Manager on our side who controls FE’s work flow, kit deliveries and deliverables.

Blue Networks have been carrying out an upgrade programme for TfGM’s 4300 Series Cisco IP Security Cameras. This has involved high level outdoor works at 9 Metrolink park and ride car parks. Cameras are used for both security and car/people counting purposes.

Sites in scope were:

  • Derker
  • Rochdale
  • Hollinwood
  • East Didsbury
  • Bury Interchange
  • Ashton Moss
  • Ashton West
  • Sale Water Park
  • Oldham Mumps
  • Shaw & Crompton
  • Brooklands
  • Ladywell
  • Crumpsall
  • Prestwich

Blue Network Solutions have worked as a trusted supplier to TfGM for many years and are pleased to have successfully completed another key project on time and budget.

Blue Network Solutions have partnered with a key Dutch Telecom Service provider to futher extend our coverage and capabilites across mainland Europe.

Since 2013 Blue Networks have supported FSR/Abellio and Level 3 Communications to design and install public WIFI access into 52 stations across the Scottish network. 26 stations were deployed last summer in time for the Commonwealth Games and another 26 are in the process of being rolled out. We have also been involved with the new Border Railway project, this is first new Railway project for 100 years. Blue Networks project managed both circuit and WIFI infrastructure to enable the service to be ready for the Queens visit in September 2015.

Blue Networks continue to work in partnership with Scotrail/Abellio and Level3 Communications increasing the WIFI coverage for Scotland’s Railways.

Airmagnet surveys were carried out at all sites as well as a detailed infrastructure survey to ascertain cabling requirements. The equipment deployed were Ruckus 7762’s and uses Cisco switching and routing back to a Zone Director located in Telehouse London. Work has been carried out through winter months in the North of Scotland which has had its challenges due to adverse weather, however all deadlines have been achieved. GPS coordinates are recorded for all equipment which is then added to monitoring platform for visual maintenance alerts.

Project Management – We currently provide continued Project Management to Scotrail/Abellio for the purpose of delivering circuits and the roll out of WIFI across Scotland’s Railways.

We have successfully completed a Cisco WIFi rollout for Pure Gym which involved the design and installation of a new network made up on Cisco 1702 AP's, switches and routers at various sites around the UK. In total we completed 25 sites on behalf of our customer.

We have just completed a WIFI rollout across TUI's Crew Rooms at Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Bristol, Bournemouth, Exeter, Doncaster, Bradford Leeds, Newcastle, Gatwick, Stanstead, Luton and Manchester. Teams carried out WIFI surveys at each Airport to ascertain WIFI requirements and this was then followed up by and installation team who installed Cisco AP's, cabling and other required hardware.

What Our Clients Say

  • "Whilst some building work was being carried out on campus a critical fibre link was damaged. Blue Network Solutions had an engineer on site within 4 hours and soon after our link was repaired, tested and back up and running as if nothing had happened." - Adrian Fisher, AFA
